Job Description
The Medical Assistant will provide medical and patient assistance and generally supports the smooth flow of the day-to-day operations of an Internal Medicine Practice. Duties include but are not limited to: Manage patient flow, set up exam rooms, escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, give immunizations and obtain EKGs. Answer physician voicemail, call/fax prescription refills into pharmacies, match labs for physician and mail lab results to patients, stock and prepare exam rooms, maintain inventory control. Located in Brookline, this is a full time position, Monday-Friday. 8:30-5PM.
Qualifications
H.S. Diploma and a Certificate in Medical Assisting, medical terminology, and PC competent. Internal Medicine practice experience strongly preferred. 1-2 years medical office experience preferred and must possess strong customer service skills. Must also be self-directed to handle multiple priorities successfully. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
