- Assessing and assisting patients during office visit, assisting providers and maintaining all applicable KRMC Policies and Procedures.
- Registration of patients; verification of benefits; discharge of patients, including collection of payments due; performs CPT and ICD coding, data entry and balancing of accounts by provider.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, to manage multiple priorities and tasks, to maintain attention to detail;
- knowledge of and ability to use computer hardware and software applications;
- maintains BLS certification;
- knowledge of and ability to implement direct care, newborn through geriatric;
- knowledge of and ability to use basic medical terminology.
EDUCATION
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have MA Certification from either the American Association of Medical assistants or the American Medical Technologists or attended an accredited school or worked as a Medical Assistant 2000 hours in a year prior to February, 2000.
