- Must be a California-licensed Registered Nurse.
- Valid CA driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Current Health Care Provider CPR certificate required.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures a must.
- Strong customer service skills required.
Job Duties
- Will be a part of the Mobile department team and perform all activities related to blood collection including: labeling of bags & specimen tubes; skin preparation; phlebotomy; care of unit of blood, and donor before, during and after venipuncture.
- Perform donor registration and medical interview to evaluate donor eligibility to donate blood based on written Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare and pack blood for transport or delivery to lab.
- Perform quality control of equipment and maintain supplies.
- Perform Charge Nurse duties as scheduled.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to work variable hours and days including weekends to travel throughout our local communities to conduct blood drives.
- Must be able to work at other BloodSource locations as needed.
