- GED or High School Diploma required
POSITION SUMMARY
The LPN/Office Nurse will take the patient to the exam room and take the vital signs, weight, and history. She will be responsible for injections, setting up surgical trays, cleaning surgical instruments and sterilizations. The LPN will maintain cleanliness and stocking of exam rooms. The LPN will review all lab reports for any abnormalities for the physician, record, and have physician sign off on all reports. The LPN will call patients at the physician’s request regarding any abnormal lab reports or actions to be taken due to the lab reports, sending report to medical records for placing in patients chart. The LPN will return patient phone calls and call in prescriptions at physician’s orders. The LPN interacts with Registration Staff for efficient patient, nurse, and physician scheduling. The LPN is responsible for nursing procedures such as EKG, spirometry, oximetry and IV’s. The LPN is responsible for ordering all medicines, keeping crash cart stocked, and all meds current. The LPN is responsible for maintaining all medical equipment. The LPN is responsible for making sure all procedures, tests, etc. are marked on patient routing slips to ensure financial success of practice.
The LPN/Office Nurse will be responsible for the efficient running, organization and rotation of staff, ordering and maintaining inventory of supplies for the entire clinical area. Also will be the liaison between clinical staff and physician in coordination with the Clinical Team Leader.
The LPN/Office Nurse will be cross-trained for other medical staff members as well as in other areas of the office for fill in as necessary.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Two years of physician office or hospital nursing experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS
- NC or SC State LPN License (based on practice location)
