Talbert Medical Group - a leader in providing excellent medical care in Orange and LA counties is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant I to join our nursing team at the TMG - Santa Ana medical center location.
This immediate opportunity will assist the nursing team with walkin in patients; review of patient records (EMR), interview patients, measure the patient's vital signs; pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, and record information into electronic medical record system (EPIC). Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, assist physician with procedures, clean examination rooms and sterilize appropriate equipment after use. Accuchecks, administer prescribed medications (orally or by injection), perform electrocardiograph (EKG), nebulizers, pulse oximetry, inhalation treatments and operates other equipment when necessary. Communicate consistenly with the front office team and and with patients re: the status of approximate provider wait time. Schedule patients for routine diagnostic tests and appointments per policy and procedure.
Qualified candidates will have High School diploma, Medical Assistant certificate from recognized school, current CPR with minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience (IM, FP and Pediatics) preferably in busy clinic environment, experience with EKG, nebulizer, pulse oximetry, injections, excellent organizational and patient care skills. Bilingual in Spanish preferred, computer proficient and electronic medical records experience ; (EPIC) a plus!
