NURSE SUPERVISOR, NYC DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH - The Nurse-Family Partnership Program - New York, NY
The Nurse-Family Partnership Program (NFP) is a nationally recognized model of nurse home visiting that improves heath, development and the outcomes for young mothers and their children. As a Nurse Supervisor for the Targeted Citywide Initiative, you would lead a team of nurses serving vulnerable teens and women -- those who are homeless, in foster care or in detention at Riker’s Island. You will provide direct supervision to this team using a strengths-based leadership approach; leading nurses to work with their clients to improve pregnancy outcomes, child health and development and economic self-sufficiency of the family.
Requirements
Masters Degree, BSN and NYS license as well as supervisory/administrative experience is required; strong experience in one or more of the following: Mental Health, Community/Public Health, OB/GYN, Family Practice, Women’s Health, Pediatrics or Adolescent Health, complemented by Homecare experience.
