Description
The Dental Hygienist implements a dental hygiene and preventative program which maximizes patient contact and treatment completion and moves patients into routine recall status. Also performs dental measures designed to preserve teeth and prevent the spread of oral disease. As designated OSHA compliance officer for the dental center, is responsible for the control efforts as directed by the dentist, including ensuring the availability and
use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for all employees, maintaining instruments and equipment; and overseeing sterilization and waste management activities.

Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Experience: 2 to 3 years experience preferred. Knowledge of Medical Assistance/Badgercare program desired
- Licensure: Current Wisconsin Dental Hygiene Licensure (RDH)
- Certification: Must maintain current CPR certification. Certification in the administration of local anesthesia preferred
- Skills: Good interpersonal skills. Effective verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Good organizational skills. Ability to speak Spanish or Hmong languages helpful
