- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of accredited program for medical assistant
- American Association of Medical Assistants certification
- 1-2 years experience preferred
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of examination and treatment procedures and related equipment and instruments
- Skill in assisting with a variety of treatment and examination support functions, including taking vital signs
- Ability to react calmly in emergencies
- Ability to establish effective working relationships
- Ability to perform tests and/or assist with procedures under physician direction
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
