About the Position
Duties, continued: You will also assist in the placement of sutures; apply desensitizing agents; package tissue specimens and route to the pathology laboratory; take bacterial cultures and cytologic smears and stains; assist in the fabrication and insertion of appliances, i.e., space maintainers, habit appliances, etc..
NOTE
- Must successfully complete annual training and/or recertification in Basic Life Support, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- During performance of Dental Assistant duties, employee may come into contact with human blood or other potential infectious materials, which may result in possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
