The Medical Assistant
Performs a variety of work duties which require specific knowledge and training in patient care, environmental care functions, equipment/supply management and cleaning/disinfecting the environment.
The Medical Assistant must
- Possess Medical Assistant certification.
- Possess a current CPR certification.
- Have prior Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a large healthcare system.
- Have knowledge of medical terminology, universal precautions, and body mechanics.
- Have initiative and the ability to prioritize demands and to work in a team environment.
- Be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.
- Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
