DESCRIPTION
The Medcor Mid-Level Practitioner (NP)will be providing urgent and wellness care in the Medcor clinic located in Medcors client facility. The location is remote and the practitioner may be required to stabilize ill and injured employees while awaiting arrival of EMS.

General clinical duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following (other clinical duties may be assigned):
- Provide emergent and urgent care for injuries and illnesses that present to the clinic.
- Provide occupational health services while functioning as an advocate for both the patient/employee and employer.
- Conduct physical exams and interpret exam results required for regulatory and policy compliance, e.g., DOT, international travel, audiometric, spirometry, fire fighter, etc.-Serve as a clinical leader for the facility
The MLP is required to independently care for patients. The following represent some, but not all, of the specific clinical skills that are required:
- Interpretation of ECGs and rhythm strips-Management of cardiopulmonary arrest
- Management of major trauma, including vehicular trauma
- Management of minor orthopedic injuries, including cumulative trauma, sprains, strains and minor fractures or dislocations-Interpretation of spirometry
- Management of biological exposures, e.g., blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Management of chemical exposures
- Licensure in the State of Colorado
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Certification
- DEA certification
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
