With emphasis on patient comfort and satisfaction, provide the doctor or hygienist with assistance. Perform all dental procedures in order to achieve the best possible treatment for the patient.
Responsibilities
The Dental Assistant prepares patients for examination and ensures our patients are prepared, relaxed and are as comfortable as possible. Working chair-side under the supervision of the dentist, the dental assistant performs a variety of tasks; selecting and handing instruments to the dentist during dental procedures and practices of standardized procedures, techniques and methods used in dental assistance. Our Dental Assistants also may remove sutures, apply topical anesthetics to gums or cavity-preventive agents to teeth - remove excess cement used in the filling process and place rubber dams on the teeth to isolate them for individual treatment. The dental assistant must have excellent patient communication skills and be able to instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care and be skilled in cornal polishing and sealant placement.

Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant registration through the Washington State Department of Health required.
- Oregon X-Ray and EFDA certificates strongly preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience required for ER position.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.
