Job Details
The Medical Assistant is responsible for greeting and escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for procedures and exams, assisting with procedures, minor surgeries and exams. Collecting specimens. Maintains a clean and well stocked work environment. Acts as liaison between providers and patients. Handles incoming telephone calls as needed Documents all telephone encounters in the medical record, including medication refills and notification of test results. Prepares and processes necessary forms for managed care referrals and authorizations. Participates with overall functions and flow of the department as needed.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, general computer knowledge, medical terminology phlebotomy experience.

REQUIRED
- Certified Medical Assistant
- CPR Certified
- Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program with 1-2 years of Medical Assistance experience in primary setting as well as office medical procedures and treatments.
