We are seeking an experienced Full-time Medical Assistant to join our employee health center team in San Antonio, Texas!
The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:30a-5p. The qualified candidate will be working along side our Registered Nurse and Physician Assistant in providing acute/episodic and urgent care in a busy employee health center.

We are seeking an experienced Full-time Medical Assistant to join our employee health center team in San Antonio, Texas!
The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:30a-5p. The qualified candidate will be working along side our Registered Nurse and Physician Assistant in providing acute/episodic and urgent care in a busy employee health center.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill or injured client employees as directed by a physician, advanced practitioner, or registered nurse.
- Interviews patient to determine medical problem/condition and documents in chart for physician
- Assists in rooming patients and obtains and records patient's vital signs and weight
- Answer phones, greet patients, and schedule patients for appointments
- Perform routine laboratory/screening tests (e.g., blood draws, urinalysis, throat cultures, injections)
- Assists Physician Assistant with patient examination as needed.
- Provide support to the operations of the health center by maintaining medical equipment, keeping exam rooms properly supplied and ready for patients, as well as maintaining office inventory and purchasing supplies as necessary
- Performs Medical Records functions, such as filing and maintaining patient records, copies records for medical and legal releases, obtains records and purging records to storage

Requirements
- Graduate of accredited program, Associate’s degree and/or equivalent from two year college or technical school
- National certification as a medical assistant, preferred
- Previous experience working in a medical office setting, ambulatory care, occupational health or emergency department
- Must have proficient Phlebotomy skills
- Must have proficient computer knowledge and be skilled in data entry
- Must have knowledge of EMR
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Current CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
