Reporting to the Dental Director, the Lead Dentist has leadership to represent the provider staff, to act as a liaison between providers and administration and help ensure the overall quality of dental care delivered in an assigned clinic/region.

Reporting to the Dental Director, the Lead Dentist has leadership to represent the provider staff, to act as a liaison between providers and administration and help ensure the overall quality of dental care delivered in an assigned clinic/region.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of a School of Dentistry.
- Experience: Experience working, as a dentist preferred. Formal management training and experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Current Washington/Oregon State Dental License, Current BLS Certification, and Current DEA.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Knowledge of dental principles and treatment procedures including prevention of pain, infection, loss of teeth developing dentition; knowledge in public health principles; ability to be compassionate and culturally sensitive towards underserved populations, specifically the migrant population; must be able to provide: highest quality of clinic care to all patients, highest quality of care in a public health care setting; must be able to adhere to review by: YVFWC Quality Assurance program, Washington State Dental Practice Act, National Health Service Corps and United States Public Health Service Guidelines; must be able to further the cause of public health concepts; ability to work with all ages of patients; ability to work with an interpreter, if necessary; ability to interact effectively with patients, families, clinic team members and others; ability to demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior; and Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment. Within a structured time frame, has the ability to effectively and quickly respond to reactive demands in a pro-active manner. Ability to prioritize time and knowledge of personal development in relationship to time management. Knowledge and ability to make decisions independently with discretion and judgment.
