JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Interviews and records patient history, measures and records vital signs such as height, weight, BMI, head circumference, current medications, pulse oximetry level and patient comfort level, collects, performs, documents and reports results of CLIA waived lab tests including, but not limited to: urine dip, pregancy tests, fingerstick blood gluscose levels, fecal occult blood tests, hematcrits and rapid strep tests and collects, perpares and documents specimen collection.

- Adminsters medications per MA formulary.
- Dismisses patient at the end of the appointment.
- Participates in orientation of new employees and attends mandatory meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- All activities associated with the delivery of quality medical assistant duties assigned to this role
Skill in
- Medical Assistant practices within the scope of responsibilities assigned to this role
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION
- Certificate or diploma verifying graduation from a Medical Assistant Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), current healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) course completion card and will be required to maintain a current CPR certification during employment. Candidates must successfully pass a Medical Assistant Competency Exam prior or at time of interview.
