Medical Assistant 1, Renown Medical Group - Reno, NV
Position Purpose
The Medical Assistant 1 is accountable for assisting the providers in front and back office procedures. As business needs dictate, this position may be called upon to provide back office support including rooming the patient, taking vital signs and weight. The incumbent has the added responsibility of providing a direct liaison between provider and patient, making certain that the patient's questions and concerns have been addressed by the appropriate provider.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Mathematical skills.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a physician office practice required.
- Certified Medical Assistant or EMT 1 certification can substitute for the 1-year experience requirement.
- Multi-physician office practice experience preferred.
- Current AHA BLS or ability to obtain within 90-days of employment required.
- Certified Medical Office Assistant applicants preferred.
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc
